BALLSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported car crash involving a personal injury at around 8:45 p.m. They say a pedestrian was hit and pronounced dead at the scene near 230 Church Avenue in Ballston. As it currently stands, the police investigation suggests that a 2017 Honda Civic headed north on Church Avenue hit the pedestrian, who was already lying the in road.Police did not reveal the identities of the victim or the driver. ST. LOUIS - A man was found dead after a fire in near downtown St. Louis, Saturday night.The fire broke out on the 1800 block of South 9th Street, and officers got the call around 8:50 p.m. Frost Advisory and Freeze Warning early Monday morning, temps in 60s through week Upon arrival, firefighters forced their way inside the building to extinguish the fire. The victim was found engulfed in flames and succumbed to the injuries. The cause of the fire has not been revealed. The St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit is handling the investigation. Two CHP officers in their patrol car were struck by another vehicle on the 215 Freeway. The collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning in the northbound span of the freeway near the University Parkway exit. (KRON) -- A wrong-way crash left traffic in bad shape on Interstate 580 in Oakland on Sunday morning, according to data from traffic logs. Driver identified in fatal wrong-way crash on I-280 The crash happened just after 7 a.m. near Seminary Road. Traffic backed up in the area as lanes closed for over an hour. Traffic was diverted to Seminary Road due to the backup after the crash. Two wrong-way crashes across the Bay Area turned fatal on Saturday. OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) – Oakland police are investigating a shooting that left two individuals injured after sustaining gunshot wounds early Sunday morning, according to the Oakland Police Department. The shooting occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 1300 block of 91st Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and located two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s) and were later transported to a local hospital, OPD said. One dead, one injured in separate Oakland shootings One of the victims, a Richmond resident, is currently listed in grave condition and not expected to survive his injuries. The other victim, an El Sobrante resident, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said. OPD’s homicide division will be investigating the shooting. The identity of both victims is not being released at this time, according to Oakland police.
