Kiszla vs. Gabriel: Can Russell Wilson and Sean Payton get along?

Kiz: Like it or not, Sean Payton is a jerk. He likes being obnoxious. He thinks being cantankerous and condescending helps win football games. With a Super Bowl victory on his resume and his 60th birthday just around the corner, it’s unlikely Payton is going to change. Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, on the other hand, is the last Boy Scout; he’s courteous and reverent. After watching Payton chew out Wilson during the blowout loss to Detroit, I’ve got to ask: Is there a future where these two guys can work together?Gabriel: Can? Probably. Want to? That’s the $245 million question. The $85 million dead cap hit after the 2023 season question. And the interesting part about it, Kiz, is that all along it’s been Wilson who’s been so excited about the prospect of playing for Payton. He was willing to accept a trade to New Orleans in 2021 when Payton was there. He raved about Payton right as Denver’s coaching search kicked into gear and he’s made it clear he’s all abo...Right 3 lanes of northbound Interstate 25 closed for tractor-trailer fire

PITTSBURG — A Bay Area man has been convicted in a fatal shooting that occurred outside a known West Contra Costa drug house more than eight years ago.Andrew Cordova, 34, was convicted this month of second degree murder in the death of 31-year-old Deon Ward, who was shot multiple times on the 2100 block of Stanton Avenue in unincorporated Montalvin Manor on the morning of Oct. 4, 2015. Cordova and Ward allegedly got into a confrontation earlier, prosecutors say, before Cordova left the area, retrieved a gun, and fired at Ward. The case went unsolved for years. It wasn’t until 2019 that Cordova and his cousin, 27-year-old Michael Jeremy Collins, were arrested and charged with murder. Collins, accused of helping Cordova plan the killing, was released from jail with the pending murder charge last year, and remains out of custody, court records show.Cordova’s lawyer, William Welch, said that the jury reported being deadlocked on the very first day of deliberations, but ...Apple to halt sales of some Apple Watches in US over patent dispute

But its skirmish with Masimo threatens to undermine that.Apple said a review period is in progress with the International Trade Commission related to Apple Watch devices containing a blood oxygen feature.“While the review period will not end until D...Palo Alto power outage affects thousands; faulty transformer thought to be the cause
