BRUSH, Colo. (KDVR) — A tornado touched down near Brush as thunderstorms hit northeast Colorado on Wednesday evening. The twister was seen live on TV during a FOX31 newscast.Storm chaser Nathan Moore captured video of the tornado along Highway 71, south of Interstate 76."This is our first visual confirmation of a tornado on the ground," Pinpoint Weather Chief Meteorologist Dave Fraser said.The tornado was confirmed at 5:55 p.m. about 6 miles east of Gary, or 14 miles southwest of Akron, according to the National Weather Service. (KDVR) -- A sewage truck spilled human waste on eastbound Interstate 76 on Monday evening, forcing it to close for hours for a cleanup.Around 5:17 p.m., a passerby reported sewage on the road on I-76 near Colorado State Highway 224, according to Colorado State Patrol. DENVER (KDVR) -- Severe weather engulfed Colorado this week with rain and thunderstorms, and severe hail as big as golf balls.While meteorologists measure how much rain or snow falls during a storm, hail is not measured like other precipitation. DENVER (KDVR) -- The Pinpoint Weather team has issued a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day due to strong storms along the Front Range, around the Denver metro and onto the Eastern Plains, which are causing delays and cancellations at Denver International Airport.The worst of the storms are expected in the afternoon into the evening hours with damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes in the Denver weather forecast. Here’s what areas are in an enhanced risk for severe storms Wednesday As of 6:30 p.m., there were 630 delays and 133 cancellations according to FlightAware tracking. DENVER (KDVR) – As severe stormy weather was hitting the Front Range, those people who live west of Denver got to see spectacular views of the storm clouds and took photos.FOX31 Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Jessica Lebel said she was impressed when she saw the photos and explained just what they showed.
