Clear, sunny skies are in the forecast for Saturday, with wind gusts of up to 25 miles per hour expected Saturday afternoon and into Saturday night. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will increase, and the region will remain dry through Sunday. Temperatures are expected to drop by the end of the weekend.   “A cooling trend with strengthening onshore flow is forecast for early next week,” said NWS. Low clouds are expected in coastal areas, but they will make way for sunshine on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday are forecast to be cloudy, with cooler temperatures accompanying the overcast skies. “On Monday, we will see more cloud coverage, and Tuesday as well,” said KTLA meteorologist Kacey Montoya. “This is when temperatures are really going to start to cool off as the front passes through.” Thursday and Friday will see sunshine and warmer temperatures return to the region.

Pederson joins outfielders Mitch Haniger and Austin Slater and catcher Roberto Pérez on the IL, while Michael Conforto was out of the lineup for a second straight game after tweaking his calf on the base paths Wednesday.“Obviously it’s difficult to not have Haniger, to not have Slater, Joc as well, these are core pieces of all of our lineups,” manager Gabe Kapler said before Saturday’s game. “These are things that ev...

Fulham ends poor run with 3-1 win at Everton in EPL

Published Mon, 24 Feb 2025 21:39:14 GMT

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Fulham ended an alarming run of Premier League defeats by beating Everton 3-1 on Saturday as Marco Silva claimed a first win against his former employers to damage their attempt to avoid relegation.Harrison Reed put the Cottagers ahead midway through the first half but Everton hit back through Dwight McNeil and seemed the likeliest to score again before halftime at Goodison Park. But the momentum swung back toward Fulham when Harry Wilson put the visitors back ahead just after the break. Dan James sealed victory to snap Fulham’s sequence of five successive losses. With Fulham in the ascendancy, Everton’s players became increasingly disjointed and were booed off at the full-time whistle after squandering the chance to put daylight between themselves and the Premier League relegation zone. Everton remains above the bottom three on goal difference alone. This will be especially frustrating for Everton manager Sean Dyche, whose side have a much better ...

No. 4 seed Phoenix opens the playoffs Sunday against the No. 5 seed Los Angeles Clippers.“Chemistry matters, being on the same page with your team matters,” Durant said. “In a perfect world, I would have loved to play more than eight games with this team. Phoenix is trying to make it back to the NBA Finals for the second time in three s...
